One of my favorite things to do is grab a family member, friend or friends and enjoy an afternoon of tea. It's a wonderful way to slow down and enjoy great conversation. Below, I have listed a few of my favorite places to enjoy a cup of tea in Northern Ohio. Depending on the day, some of the tea rooms become very busy. I would suggest that you make reservations.

Victorian Spiritualism Tea & Program SOLD OUT
Time: 2:00 –4:00 pm
The Victorians were enamored with parlor games and amusements. They dabbled in tarot cards, tea leaf readings, phrenology, and Spiritualism, viewed as a grand adventure. Our tea
program will look at these practices and how they relate to modern times. Enjoy delicious tea fare, savories and sweets, a walk-through tour and shopping in the Cellar Door Store! Limited seating with prepaid reservations: $32 for adults, $22 for children ages 8 – 12. Prepaid reservation deadline: June 19.

World War I brought destruction to many Cathedrals and Churches across the European landscape during intense repeated bombing and shelling. Andrea Killy-Knight from Bigelow Glass in Findlay OH, will explore the damage and rebuilding to some of the greats such as Rheims and Notre Dame with a focus on the stained glass.

Michele Raine, Assistant Director of the Wood County District Public Library, will present the varied aspects of literature during and following WWI. Much has been written about the shock and horror of the warfare introduced on World War I battlefields. This was also one of the first wars to generate such depth of poetry and literature around the experience of war both at home and in the trenches. Through contemporary and modern fictional accounts we will explore the fears, hopes, duties, and gender roles changed forever by the war.
