The historical guns will be blasting at Perry's Victory & International Peace Memorial, Put-in-Bay, Ohio. Join in the fun throughout the day to see the demonstrations. Park Rangers and volunteers will demonstrate firing black powder muskets and the Park's carronade. Ranger programs will cover the nuances of the 1812 military uniform, the proper handling of black powder and the steps to firing a musket. The carronade, a small gun like those used on board the US Brig Lawrence and US Brig Niagara, will be fired by the Park's Gun Crew. The Carronade program will discuss the proper steps in firing the short range gun and its limitation during the Battle of Lake Erie. Musket firing demonstrations will take place at 11 am, 1, 3, and 5 pm. Carronade demonstrations will be given at noon, 2, and 4 pm.

Perry's Victory and International Peace Memorial celebrates peace through music by hosting the second annual Put-in-Bay Music Festival. A collaboration between the National Park, the Perry Group, the Put-in-Bay Chamber of Commerce, the Lake Erie Islands Historical Society and title sponsor Miller Boat Line, the free concert is also supported with a grant from the Ohio Arts Council. About 3,000 people were entertained with great live music in 2017. Attendees will enjoy playing the Battle of Lake Erie Corn Toss, kids music crafts and yard games, Music Workshops on drumming, and beginner and advanced ukulele, and a Guitar Hero competition. Rangers also will have a living history display. Food, beer and soft drinks will also be available for purchase on site.

Park Rangers and volunteers will demonstrate firing black powder muskets and the Park's carronade throughout the day. Ranger programs will cover the nuances of the 1812 military uniform, the proper handling of black powder and the steps to firing a musket. The carronade, a small gun like those used on board the US Brig Lawrence and US Brig Niagara, will be fired by the Park's Gun Crew. The Carronade program will discuss the proper steps in firing the short range gun and its limitation during the Battle of Lake Erie. Musket firing demonstrations will take place at 11 am, 1, 3, and 5 pm. Carronade demonstrations will be given at noon, 2, and 4 pm.

Description of Event: About Moving Day Cleveland

Moving Day Cleveland is the Parkinson's Foundation Ohio Chapter's annual fundraising walk event. It is a fun and inspiring fundraising event that unites families, friends and communities both large and small in the fight against Parkinson's disease. This celebration of movement will feature a family friendly walk course, a kids area and a special Movement Pavilion featuring Delay the Disease, Reiki, Rock Steady Boxing, and more! All can help manage the symptoms of PD.

Proceeds raised from the campaign help to improve the quality of care for people with Parkinson's disease through research, education and outreach. Moving Day Cleveland raises awareness of Parkinson's both nationally and in the local community.

It is 'A day to move, a day to move others, a day that moves YOU!'

Presented in partnership with Folknet, Music in the Valley is an opportunity to enjoy local musicians playing their banjos, guitars, and fiddles. Guests are welcome to stop and listen to the musicians as they tour the grounds, and can enjoy tasting wines from select Ohio based wineries.

This year's event is expanding with later hours, a larger tented area, more food vendors and wineries and wine education seminars sponsored by the Wine Buzz Magazine. A wine and cheese pairing seminar will be at 2:00pm daily, and sensory tasting 101 at 4:00pm daily (tasting charges apply). The band will be performing under the baton of Mr. Randy Claes on July 19th at 7:00 p.m. in Downtown Wooster. Spectators will need to bring their own lawn chairs. If weather does not permit the outside concert, the concert will be held in St. Mary's Gymnasium (across from the Wayne County Historical Society).

Musket & Carronade Weekend

Park Rangers and volunteers will demonstrate firing black powder muskets and the Park's carronade throughout the day. Ranger programs will cover the nuances of the 1812 military uniform, the proper handling of black powder and the steps to firing a musket. The carronade, a small gun like those used on board the US Brig Lawrence and US Brig Niagara, will be fired by the Park's Gun Crew. The Carronade program will discuss the proper steps in firing the short range gun and its limitation during the Battle of Lake Erie. Musket firing demonstrations will take place at 11 am, 1, 3, and 5 pm. Carronade demonstrations will be given at noon, 2, and 4 pm.

The Collings Foundation is scheduled to bring to the museum the following World War II bombers, a B-17 Flying Fortress, a B-24 Liberator, a B-25 Mitchell, along with a P-51 Mustang fighter.

They will join the MAPS museum's B-26 Maurader bomber and the museum is also hoping to have our A-26 Invader ready for display.

No coupons or discounts will be accepted for this special event.

Admission Fees are $15/Adult and $5.00 for Children 12 and under to see and walk through the aircraft. Admission includes the museum facilities as well.

One can also take rides on the Collings aircraft for a fee.

30 minute flight on the B-17 or B-24 is $450/person
30 minute flight on the B-25 is $400/person
30 minute flight on the P-51D is $2200.
60 minute flight on the P-51D is $3200.
Majority of the flight cost may be a tax deduction for you as the Collings Foundation is a 501c3 educational non-profit.

Description: This one is for the dogs…but you're invited, too the 11th Annual Spooky Pooch Parade, a celebration of costumed canines taking place on Saturday, October 20, from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. at Kauffman Park in Downtown Lakewood.

The Spooky Pooch Parade consists of a free-to-attend festival in Kauffman Park, a parade through Lakewood's downtown business district on Detroit Avenue and an awards presentation. A favorite Halloween tradition for Northeast Ohio dog lovers and their families, this community festival represents one of the only events of its kind in the region, providing a tail-wagging good time for canine and human guests alike.

Pre-registration for the parade is $10 per dog and day-of registration is $15 per dog. Multiple dog discounts are available with pre-registration only. Humans are free. This community event takes place rain or shine, and proceeds from the parade benefit LakewoodAlive, a nonprofit community development organization.

Festivities get underway with the Spooky Pooch Festival beginning at 12:30 p.m. at Kauffman Park. Enjoy entertainment, kids' games and dog-related vendors, including rescue groups and other nonprofits offering canine-oriented goods and services. Kids are encouraged to wear Halloween costumes.

The 2018 Spooky Pooch Parade takes place October 20 at Kauffman Park.
