Rembrandt in America - Cleveland Museum of Art
Rembrandt in America will be the first major exhibition to explore in depth the collecting of Rembrandt paintings in America. Consisting of approximately fifty works, the exhibition will bring together autograph paintings by Rembrandt as well as others thought to be by the artist when they entered American collections but whose attributions can no longer be maintained. The exhibition therefore also presents a survey of the long career of Rembrandt as a painter, including his studio and a broader network of adapters, followers, and copyists. Rembrandt in America will be unique in offering the public a rare opportunity to examine the evolving opinions and methods of scholars and collectors regarding what constituted an autograph Rembrandt painting over a period of more than a century.

Breath for Deanna
Bowling Bash
3-7pm, Roseand Lanes
Deanna Gutowski is a 28-year old Cystic Fibrosis patient, diagnosed at 15 months old. Cystic Fibrosis (CF) is an
inherited disease that causes thick, sticky mucus to form in the lungs, pancreas and other organs. In the lungs, this
mucus blocks the airways, causing lung damage and making it hard to breathe. In the pancreas, it clogs the pathways
leading to the digestive system, interfering with proper digestion. It is one of the most common chronic lung
diseases in children, and people with CF have a shorter-than-normal life expectancy.
Nothing has ever stopped her, until now. During this last year Deanna’s CF has progressed aggressively and she is
on oxygen 24/7. Her body is tired from fighting all the CF infections and now has been listed on the double-lung
transplant list. The expected Out of Pocket Medical Costs are $70,000. We are trying to raise funds for Deanna
through our Local Community where we have lived for over 55 years.

Jacques Brel RETURNS" is a new "en cabaret" production featuring highlights from "Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris" which has been thrilling audiences since 1968. "Jacques Brel RETURNS" is an intimate and engaging evening of classic Jacques Brel songs and features Tony Award-nominee Robert Cucciolin (Jekyll & Hyde, Les Misrables); Cleveland natives Gay Marshall (A Chorus Line, The Baker's Wife-Paper Mill) and Arlo Hill; and Ereni Sevasti. Music Director David Wolfson worked as an Assistant Music Director at the Cleveland Playhouse in the early "80s and studied under David Gooding, the Music Director of the original Cleveland production of "Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris."
The original "Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris" is an important part of Northeast Ohio theater history. The revue, produced by Ray Shepardson in the lobby of the State Theatre in 1973, ran for 522 performances, spurring the Playhouse Square theater district renaissance. The production is credited as a major factor in the rescue and restoration of the theater and its adjacent venues, which are now PlayhouseSquare, the largest theater complex in the USA outside of New York City.

Porthouse Theatre presents
THE SOUND OF MUSIC
Music by Richard Rogers
Lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II
Book by Howard Lindsay and Russel Crouse
Suggested by “The Trapp Family Singers” by Maria Augusta Trapp
The final collaboration between Rodgers & Hammerstein was destined to become the world's most beloved musical. When a postulant proves too high-spirited for the religious life, she is dispatched to serve as governess for the seven children of a widowed naval Captain. Her growing rapport with the youngsters, coupled with her generosity of spirit, gradually captures the heart of the stern Captain, and they marry. Upon returning from their honeymoon they discover that Austria has been invaded by the Nazis, who demand the Captain's immediate service in their navy. The family's narrow escape over the mountains to Switzerland on the eve of World War II provides one of the most thrilling and inspirational finales ever presented in the theatre. The motion picture version remains the most popular movie musical of all time.
