Butterfly House
The Butterfly House is a 4000 sq. ft. aviary located at the Perry's Cave Family Fun Center. The aviary boasts over 500 different types of exotic butterflies from all over the world. A 5000 sq. ft. gift shop is attached to the butterfly house and contains all types of butterfly figurines, jewelry, books, garden items and more.

Glacial Grooves - Kelleys Island
The Glacial Grooves on the north side of Kelleys Island are the largest easily accessible such grooves in the world. They were scoured into solid limestone bedrock about 18,000 years ago by the great ice sheet which covered part of North America.

Heineman Winery & Crystal Cave

The Restless, Put-In-Bay-Cruises
The 1938 tug Restless gives a relaxing one and a half hour tour of the
bay, along the cottage-lined west shore of South Bass Island, and past
Middle Bass Island, home of Lonz Winery. The fare is $65 per person,
with a two person minimum, for up to six passengers. Light snacks, soda,

Put-in-Bay Pooch Parade
Registration will start at 10am at the Gazebo in the downtown DeRivera Park. The parade begins at 10:30am. Children from the audience will carry American flags and lead the bow-wows in a half circle around the picturesque DeRivera Park.
Judges will pick the cutest dog, the biggest dog, the smallest dog, the best dressed dog, the dog that looks most like its owner, the most talented dog, individual best dressed dog, group best dressed dogs, and most unique. Prizes will be awarded to the winners in each category, but ALL dogs will receive a special “doggie bag” of gifts and treats.Entry fee is $10 per dog. All dogs and owners are invited. Proceeds benefit Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church.

Re-Declaration of War of 1812
On June 18, town criers will announce to the public there-declaration of war against Great Britain on the Bicentennial of the original announcement by the United States in the War of 1812. This event will kick off five years of observances, including the 2013Bicentennial of the Battle of Lake Erie that took place 10 miles off South Bass Island.
The 2013 celebration, and observance, will begin with a Tall Ships Festival Labor Day Weekend of 2013, sponsored by the Perry Group, the National Park Service’s Friends Group.

Island Wine Festival
Representatives from wineries across the US will be on hand for festival goers to sample more than 250 of their wines. Featuring Heineman Winery from Put-in-Bay and several other Ohio wineries. Great food, a display on the history of island wineries, winery and grape related merchandise.
Entry is $5. Souvenir wine sampling glass with admission. Sampling tickets are $1 each with samples ranging from $1 to $5. Retail bottle sales to take your favorite one home with you. Oktoberfest
The festival is held under tent in DeRivera Park on the corner of Delaware and Hartford avenues downtown, Put-in-Bay. The festival is open 11:00am to 7:00pm Saturday and Noon to 5:00pm on Sunday.
Many island restaurants serve a large variety of German food, including brats, weinerschnitzel, sauerkraut, potato pancakes, spatzel, apple dumplings, German Chocolate cake, cabbage rolls and sauerkraut balls. The festival also includes a selection of island wines from Put in Bay's Heineman Winery and German beers. The popular Maxx Band's "Fingers and Sticks" will perform both days again this year and the Leiderkranz Dancers from Mansfield, OH are expected to perform on Sunday.
