The Butler Institute of American Art is proud to announce the Premiere Exhibition of more than 60 select paintings visualizing the most popular and prominent heroes dominating the current international entertainment scene. Across all mediums, from the cinema to comics, STERANKO was cited by Stan Lee as one of the prime architects of the Marvel Universe; the co-creator of NICK FURY, AGENT OF S.H.I.E.L.D.; and the artist-writer of CAPTAIN AMERICA, THE HULK, SUPERMAN, and THE X-MEN (for which he designed the classic title logo). He generated more than 150 original storytelling devices and techniques that changed the direction of the comics' medium, and evolved a devoted cult of followers who nicknamed him The Innovator.

The Youngstown Playhouse presents The Hunchback of Notre Dame, directed by Joshua William Green, May 27–June 5, 2022 on the Main Stage.

Based upon the Victor Hugo novel and the Academy Award-nominated Disney film, The Hunchback of Notre Dame features a lush, emotionally rich score by Alan Menken (Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast) and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Pippin), in the only stage collaboration between these two masters of contemporary musical theatre. When the bell-ringer of Notre Dame escapes his captivity for a day, he meets Esmeralda, a free-spirited Romani dancer who inspires Quasimodo to discover his humanity, passion, and courage, as the outcast becomes the hero of us all.

Performances are Friday, May 27, Saturday, May 28, Friday, June 3, and Saturday, June 4 at 7:30pm; and Sunday, May 29 & June 5 at 2:30pm.

Park on Beta Drive or Mount Vernon Square and look for the pickup stops-free of charge sponsored by Hilton Garden Inn Mayfield Village/700 Beta Banquet Conference Center. The annual Founders Day Celebration at Put-in-Bay will be held in the center of the village at DeRivera Park. Founders Day will feature St. Paul's traditional strawberry shortcakes & live entertainment playing popular tunes in a fair-type atmosphere. Remarkably, the 250 yard long beach and sloping adjacent terrain closely resemble Omaha Beach in Normandy, France.

Description: After a two-year hiatus, we are "Back in the Saddle Again" with the Best "Wurst" Bike Ride to be held August 20, 2022. If you think of Gene Autry or Foreigner, you are correct. Bucyrus (Crawford County) is a gorgeous flat rural ride with low traffic and well paved roads. Plus a few surprises for excitement. We offer family friendly 8/11/13/15 mile family friendly ride, 32.5-mile ride, or 47.5-mile rides. Rest/Snack stops for each ride at our scenic Lowe-Volk Nature Center or preserved Dapper Cabin.

The routes are well marked, and we have digital maps for the more sophisticated. Volunteers and Sag will be along the route for your safety and support.

The 46th annual Boardman Rotary Oktoberfest is the area's largest one day arts and crafts event drawing vendors from five states. This year's event is scheduled for Sunday, October 2, 2022 at Boardman Township Park from 9:00am to 5:00pm. There is a $5 admission fee for adults and children 12 and over. There is FREE parking available for patrons on the west side of the park which is accessible through the Southern Blvd Entrance. Limited offsite parking is also available with a shuttle service from the Southwoods parking lot, locate just south of the park, on Southern Blvd.

This October is Old-Fashioned Christmas in the Woods' 28th year of hosting attendees from across the country at Shaker Woods in Columbiana, Ohio. More than 200 quality craftspeople and artisans will gather at the festival on October 8-9 and 15-16, 2022. In a manicured, wooded setting, juried costumed crafters will have their booths decorated in an old-fashioned holiday theme. The exhibitors will demonstrate their crafts and sell a wide selection of handmade holiday items, as well as traditional crafts. The level grounds feature gravel footpaths for easy walking and access to acres of free parking. Traditional crafters include candle makers, leatherworkers, woodworkers and doll makers. Hand-thrown pottery and iron and stone work will also be available. Holiday craft items, decorations and handcrafted Christmas ornaments are featured at the festival, in addition to holiday clothing, wreaths and floral arrangements. A delicious selection of food—from made-daily donuts and mouth-watering cobbler to freshly cut french fries and homemade bean soup—is sure to please most appetites.
