Join Dr. Roy Larick for an educational hike through 40 natural acres at the head of the Nine Mile Creek estuary. Hikers will see three historic levels of ravine cutting, a highly evolved beech forest, and a 15-acre invasive-control plot maintained by Enviroscience, Inc

Class of 2018 Enshrinee RANDY MOSS will host the Pro Football Hall of Fame's annual "Day Out with Dad" event on Saturday, June 23. Gold Jacket ANTHONY MUÑOZ will also make a special appearance.

Tickets for the event are on sale now and can be purchased at www.ProFootballHOF.com/tickets. Cost for "Day Out with Dad" is just $38 (the total value is over $100) and includes an adult and up to four children (12 years old and under). Additional add-on tickets are available for extra adult and children admissions.

The event includes a day of family fun centered around an Official Hall of Fame Character Camp that will include football skills and drills. Fathers and their children can spend the day bonding while also getting up close and personal with two of the greatest to ever play the Game. Family members of all ages will learn how to cast, tie knots, and fish for bluegill, bass, and catfish in the stocked lagoon with provided bait and tackle. Participants will also have the opportunity to learn how to handle and identify native Ohio fish, look at local aquatic life under a microscope, enjoy a variety of arts and crafts,  and fill up with a free hot dog lunch. 

Fishing rods and equipment will be available for children who do not have their own, but registration is a must. Participants should bring a cooler and ice if they plan to keep their catches.

Presented in partnership with Folknet, Music in the Valley is an opportunity to enjoy local musicians playing their banjos, guitars, and fiddles. Guests are welcome to stop and listen to the musicians as they tour the grounds, and can enjoy tasting wines from select Ohio based wineries.

This year's event is expanding with later hours, a larger tented area, more food vendors and wineries and wine education seminars sponsored by the Wine Buzz Magazine. A wine and cheese pairing seminar will be at 2:00pm daily, and sensory tasting 101 at 4:00pm daily (tasting charges apply). Musket & Carronade Weekend

Park Rangers and volunteers will demonstrate firing black powder muskets and the Park's carronade throughout the day. Ranger programs will cover the nuances of the 1812 military uniform, the proper handling of black powder and the steps to firing a musket. The carronade, a small gun like those used on board the US Brig Lawrence and US Brig Niagara, will be fired by the Park's Gun Crew. The Carronade program will discuss the proper steps in firing the short range gun and its limitation during the Battle of Lake Erie. Musket firing demonstrations will take place at 11 am, 1, 3, and 5 pm. Carronade demonstrations will be given at noon, 2, and 4 pm.

The Collings Foundation is scheduled to bring to the museum the following World War II bombers, a B-17 Flying Fortress, a B-24 Liberator, a B-25 Mitchell, along with a P-51 Mustang fighter.

They will join the MAPS museum's B-26 Maurader bomber and the museum is also hoping to have our A-26 Invader ready for display.

No coupons or discounts will be accepted for this special event.

Admission Fees are $15/Adult and $5.00 for Children 12 and under to see and walk through the aircraft. Admission includes the museum facilities as well.

One can also take rides on the Collings aircraft for a fee.

30 minute flight on the B-17 or B-24 is $450/person

Description: This one is for the dogs…but you're invited, too the 11th Annual Spooky Pooch Parade, a celebration of costumed canines taking place on Saturday, October 20, from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. at Kauffman Park in Downtown Lakewood.

The Spooky Pooch Parade consists of a free-to-attend festival in Kauffman Park, a parade through Lakewood's downtown business district on Detroit Avenue and an awards presentation. A favorite Halloween tradition for Northeast Ohio dog lovers and their families, this community festival represents one of the only events of its kind in the region, providing a tail-wagging good time for canine and human guests alike.

Pre-registration for the parade is $10 per dog and day-of registration is $15 per dog. Multiple dog discounts are available with pre-registration only. Humans are free. This community event takes place rain or shine, and proceeds from the parade benefit LakewoodAlive, a nonprofit community development organization.

Festivities get underway with the Spooky Pooch Festival beginning at 12:30 p.m. at Kauffman Park. Enjoy entertainment, kids' games and dog-related vendors, including rescue groups and other nonprofits offering canine-oriented goods and services. Kids are encouraged to wear Halloween costumes.

The 2018 Spooky Pooch Parade takes place October 20 at Kauffman Park.
