The Maple Museum includes artifacts and early accounts of maple sugaring beginning with the native Americans and continuing through to the modern day, with explanations of the tapping, collecting, and boiling processes. You will learn about the old-fashioned sugaring parties, the success of Ohio maple producers at the 1893 World's Fair, the Geauga County Maple Festival, the families of the county who have produced the product for generations, as well as the identities of the today's leading maple syrup makers, the businesses and industries that have supported maple syrup production, and profiles of the Ohio Maple Hall of Fame members. A variety of art depicting the lore and intrigue of maple sugaring is displayed. There are a number of children's activities, from reading, to hands-on projects, to search-and-find challenges. Families with youngsters are encouraged to visit. |

St. Helena III Canal Boat - Canal Fulton
First 2012 public rides on Saturday, May 12th. Public rides are offered at 1 pm and 2:30 pm and will continue on Saturdays and Sundays during May and early June. Public ride ticket prices are $7 for adults, $6 for veterans/seniors 60 yrs and older, $5 for children 5-12 yrs old, and free for those 4 yrs old & under. Boat rides depart from the dock in St. Helena Heritage Park along side the Canal Fulton Canalway Center at 125 Tuscarawas St. The Canal Fulton Heritage Society Museum, also in the park, is open during the boat season on weekends 12 noon to 4 pm.
